Serge van Veggel
Serge van Veggel is one of the founders of OPERA2DAY. As its artistic director and stage director, he has developed a number of very diverse productions. He often chooses a conceptual approach, thus creating new works based on existing repertoire. He has a preference for merging opera with - sometimes unexpected – other genres.
Argentinean-Dutch conductor Hernán Schvartzman is an award winning and versatile artist who feels as equally at home conducting top historically informed ensembles, cutting edge contemporary music groups as leading international big scale opera productions and symphonic concerts.
Swiss general director Alice Gubler has worked since 2009 for OPERA2DAY. Alice Gubler has worked as a production assistant for Cecilia Bartoli’s Maria Malibran tours, project manager for the early music department of the Royal Conservatorium in The Hague and the Dutch National Opera Academy (DNOA), as well as the manager director of The Hague’s foundation Musica Antica da Camera.
