Extras wanted for new show
Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Opera2Day and the Doelenensemble present a new performance with dance, music and song directed by Serge van Veggel.
Song of the dark forest is a poignant, compelling and comforting performance, in which the tragic song of war is sung. An unknown soldier, hovering between life and death, longs for his loved ones but is also haunted by memories of the battlefield. With songs performed by an opera singer and dance by four choreographers and performed by the entire group of Scapino dancers, this timeless story comes to life.
Join us
As an extra you will have the role of a refugee. In the choreography of Miller De Nobili, Roberto Doveri and Diego Sinniger de Salas, a group of 12 refugees can be seen in several scenes. These refugees/extras define 16 minutes of the performance. As an extra you come to rehearse 4 times and you take part in the tour, which consists of 40 performances. We take the region in which you live into account as much as possible.
What do you get from us?
The chance to play an important role in a professional performance. Costume, hair and make-up by our enthusiastic dressers. Great experiences with a fun cast and crew. An evening meal on the performance day(s), a program book of the performance and the possibility to invite family/friends to one of the performances in Theater Rotterdam (limited, at a reduced rate).
