Sing along in our ‘Carmen’ children’s choir

In September 2025, OPERA2DAY will perform Bizet’s famous opera Carmen at Amare in The Hague. For these performances, we are looking for children to join our children’s choir. Are you a singing enthusiast between the ages of 7 and 14 who loves music and acting? Then keep reading!

By joining Carmen, you will sing alongside a large orchestra, the renowned B’Rock Orchestra from Ghent. Together with other children, you will perform in three shows. The lyrics are in French.

SCHEDULE

• First introductory session: Wed, January 22, 2025, 15:30-17:30 (parents welcome)

• Rehearsal sessions: Several Wednesdays from February until the stage rehearsals begin

• First stage rehearsal period: May 26 – July 5

• Summer break: July 6 – August 17

• Final rehearsal period at Amare: August 18 – September 1

• Performances at Amare:

• September 3 (try-out)

• September 4 (premiere)

• September 10, 11, 13, and 14

Rehearsals will take place at Concordia CC in The Hague. Additionally, on August 26, we will travel to Ghent to rehearse with B’Rock Orchestra.

During the rehearsal periods, you will need to be available on certain Wednesdays and Saturdays. In the final rehearsal period at Amare, more frequent attendance will be required. Exact dates will be shared later.

THE MUSIC
