Join OPERA2DAY

Have you always wanted to perform or sing in an opera? With OPERA2DAY, you can. In many of our productions, people from across the country take part on stage, behind the scenes, and sometimes even right in the middle of the story.

In every city we visit, we invite people to participate in our performances. Young and old, experienced or not—everyone can join as an extra, a member of an amateur choir, a set builder, or even as an actor. Together we rehearse, sing, and perform scenes. This way, you don’t just attend a performance—you become part of it.

Many have gone before you. For example, 1,043 participants collectively created a new adventure for Don Quixote, extras brought the French Revolution to life in Vivaldi – Dangerous Liaisons, and amateur choirs performed in Médée.

The time commitment varies per production. Often, there is a rehearsal in the theatre on the day of the performance, we share a meal together, and in the evening you step—dressed in costume and theatrical make-up—onto or around the stage yourself.
