A hit at Festival Classique and now also in Utrecht! OPERA2DAY presents a culinary performance centered around Schubert. Enjoy songs and pieces for vocal ensemble through which the composer paid homage to fishermen, water, and love at first sight. With these masterpieces, OPERA2DAY tells a melancholic story: a fisherman becomes captivated by a girl who plays the accordion enchantingly. But she disappears from his life after just one evening. A poetic evening. Schubert’s timelessly beautiful music and exquisite fish dishes merge together.

Baroque music full of fireworks and dishes with exciting flavor combinations. Get in the mood for Dangerous Liaisons. With this brand-new Baroque opera – music by Vivaldi – OPERA2DAY will tour the country in 2019. The opera is based on the eighteenth-century epistolary novel of the same name. A count and a marquise play a daring game with love, sparing no one and nothing. They become entangled in affairs that are sweet, hot, and bitter. For the chefs, an inspiring challenge. After all, love also goes through the stomach!
Travel to nineteenth-century Paris for a culinary salon at Rossini’s home. The famous opera composer excelled not only in the theater but also in the kitchen: a gourmand who invented and perfected his own dishes. In his apartment, he treated the beau monde to his music and culinary art. What he served his guests, he shared with the world in various cookbooks. The chefs of Zindering draw inspiration from Rossini’s recipes. A vocal ensemble with four singers performs the arias, duets, trios, and quartets with which Rossini entertained his visitors: magnificent pieces, ranging from dramatic to wildly humorous. A journey through time that stimulates all the senses.
