Choirs wanted for the Habanera
Who thinks of Carmen, thinks of the Habanera! Have you always wanted to sing this beautiful piece? This is your chance! La Révolution de Carmen is a groundbreaking adaptation of the most beloved opera of all time: Carmen. With Tania Kross as the radiant centerpiece.
For each performance, we are looking for a different choir (max. 35 people) to sing the Habanera during the intermission in the foyer of Amare. As a choir, you will be part of the Parisian street scene and will be accompanied by an accordionist. The soloist will be Lucie van Ree or Lisa Defeyter.
What do you get?
- Sheet music and a recording to help you prepare
- A rehearsal on Saturday, August 30, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, led by Boudewijn Ruigrok, where all participating choirs will sing together
- One free ticket per person for the performance
What do we ask?
- Thorough preparation of your part
- Attendance at the rehearsal on August 30 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Amare, The Hague
- Attendance on the performance date of your choice
