The approach could \u2018not be praised enough\u2019 (De Volkskrant on <em>Vivaldi \u2013 Dangerous Liaisons<\/em>) and led to a \u2018full-blooded opera\u2019 (NRC on <em>J.S. Bach \u2013 The Apocalypse<\/em>). OPERA2DAY\u2019s artistic director Serge van Veggel once again develops the concept and direction, in collaboration with specialized circus creator Aed\u00edn Walsh. The musical director of the opera company, Hern\u00e1n Schvartzman, conducts the musicians of the Bachvereniging and the soloists, ensuring an instrumental and vocal fireworks display.<\/p>\n<h3>CHALLENGING REHEARSALS<\/h3>\n<p>In <em>The Opera Circus<\/em>, not only the beautiful compositions of George Frideric Handel come to life, but also the spectacle theater of his time is revived. This production combines singing and acrobatics, with both disciplines seamlessly blending together. For the singers, this presents a unique challenge, as they must not only excel vocally, but also be at home in contemporary circus acrobatics. The first auditions took place on January 28.
