The Opera Circus’ welcomes the international opera world

Starting on Thursday 12 March, the international opera world will gather in Amsterdam for the annual conference of Opera Europa. Opera companies from across Europe will meet to exchange ideas, explore new collaborations and find inspiration.

We are proud that The Opera Circus at Carré is part of the programme. The responses in advance have already been very enthusiastic, and it promises to be a special evening with audiences from both the Netherlands and abroad.

The librettist of The Opera Circus, Stefano Simone Pintor, will also make a special contribution to the conference. Together with a panel of composers from across Europe, he will engage in a conversation about commissioning opera for the world of today, and about the politics of storytelling.
