Interview Evenings of Haags Verhaal During La Révolution de Carmen

Haags Verhaal Conversations During La Révolution de Carmen

Haags Verhaal talks with residents of The Hague who are also featured in the exhibition Den Haag op de barricades at Amare. From the perspective of OPERA2DAY’s La Révolution de Carmen, we explore what it means to stand on the barricades and fight for your ideals. What choices have you had to make? How do you deal with different viewpoints? When do you question your own ideals? An open, lively conversation about struggle, solidarity, and the price of change.

Haags Verhaal helps people discover a different world within their own city. They travel through The Hague like a roaming storytelling circus, bringing stories directly to the community through gatherings, events, publications, community art, and dialogue sessions. They reach into the heart of The Hague’s society, collecting stories that might otherwise go untold—from newcomers and long-time residents, young and old, from all social and political backgrounds, rich and poor, from the challenging to the everyday. Regardless of gender, belief, or origin, they highlight the city’s pride, resilience, and diversity.
